Two things are free. The public audit needs no account: it reads your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap and up to 15 pages listed in your sitemap, and returns an AI-readiness score with priority findings. After you create an account and validate your business profile, one free activation cycle per workspace audits your site again with that profile. If your site is connected, Citanto also deploys the structured data that describes your business. AI-answer measurement, content and the monthly report are not part of the activation: they start with a paid plan.

Starter is the plan to get started: one site, up to 2 content pieces and 15 measured questions per engine each month. Growth keeps one site and raises the allowance to 4 pieces and 30 measured questions per engine. Agency covers up to 10 sites, with 12 pieces shared across the workspace each month.

Starter measures a 15-question panel per site; Growth and Agency use 30 questions. Each question is sent twice to each of the OpenAI, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude APIs in the monthly measurement: 120 sampled answers a month on Starter and 240 per site on Growth and Agency. Citanto records mentions and cited sources in those answers. The questions are built from templates, your category and your offers, not from search-demand data, and API answers do not represent every conversation in the consumer apps.

Your plan's content allowance renews on the 1st of each month. The first paid month gets the full allowance, even if you subscribe in the middle of the month. Pieces you do not use do not carry over to the next month. Topics come from your business profile: each offer, customer situation or customer case it describes can become a topic once the facts it needs are in your validated profile. For a restaurant, a café or a bakery, the menu page presents the dishes and products; an online shop or a clothing store gets a buying guide per product category rather than a page per product. A topic already covered is not written again. When a fact that a delivered page gives changes in your profile, Citanto writes an update of that page for your review, and that update counts as one piece of the month. When there is no new information, Citanto tells you what to add to your profile instead of writing to fill the allowance. On Agency, the 12 pieces are shared between your sites: each site ready for content (a validated profile, in a business type Citanto writes for) gets an equal share, and pieces a site does not need that month can go to another site.

Right after your payment is confirmed, Citanto starts the first monthly cycle of each site in your plan whose business profile is validated. For a site you validate later, start the cycle from its page, or the daily scheduled check starts it. The next cycles start automatically on the 1st of each month.

On a paid plan, Citanto runs a monthly workflow: audit, AI-answer measurement, prioritized content planning, content preparation and reporting. The measurement uses a fixed panel of questions built from templates, your business category and your offers, not search-demand data. On compatible connected sites it can deliver supported technical fixes and editorial drafts. WordPress articles stay as drafts until you publish them in your CMS. On other platforms, you publish each approved article yourself with the steps Citanto prepares.

WordPress supports connected delivery through the Citanto plugin. For a custom-built site, you publish each approved article yourself with the elements Citanto prepares: the text, its description and its structured data. On Wix and Duda, you paste your business information and publish each approved article yourself, with the steps Citanto prepares. On Shopify, Citanto does not connect to your store: you publish each approved article yourself from your Shopify admin, with the text, its description and the steps Citanto prepares. The free audit detects your platform so you can check the delivery route before subscribing. If the audit does not recognize it, you choose your platform on the Connection page.

The public audit is free. Online payment is not open yet: the plan buttons lead to the founding access request, and nothing is charged.

Plans are billed monthly. Manage your subscription, change plans or cancel from the Plan section of your workspace (Manage billing). Your billing portal shows when the change takes effect.

No tool can guarantee which brands an external AI engine recommends. Citanto shows the work completed and the answers measured, so you can assess changes. Readiness is a site diagnostic, not a forecast of traffic or revenue. AI citations can change independently of your website changes.
