Shops, salons and cafés

Before they walk in, people ask AI where to go

For salons, cafés, restaurants, bakeries, florists and independent shops. Citanto helps your site say clearly what you offer, when you are open and what it costs, in a form AI assistants can read.

What the monthly audit checks

Among the checks Citanto runs on your site every month, these are the ones that matter most in your trade.

  1. Your menu as a web page

For restaurants, cafés and bakeries, the audit looks for menu links on your home page and flags them when they all lead to PDF files.

  2. The type of your business

Once your trade is in your profile, the audit checks that your structured data uses its type: HairSalon, Restaurant, Bakery, Florist and the others.

  3. Your phone and your town, together

The audit looks for your phone number and your town on the same page, such as the footer or the contact page.

  4. A link to a review platform

The audit looks for a link from your home page to a recognized review platform and recommends your Google Business Profile. It also flags a rating your structured data gives your own business, which Google does not show.

  5. Questions with their answers

The audit looks for headings phrased as questions and followed by an answer on the pages it reads.

Questions

My menu is a PDF. Is that a problem?

A menu in a PDF or a photo is hard for AI crawlers to read. The audit looks at the menu links of your home page, and Citanto can prepare the menu as a web page from your profile.

My opening hours change with the seasons. How do I keep them right?

Change them in your business profile. Saving it updates the description of your business that Citanto prepares for AI engines: the WordPress plugin delivers it to your site, and on other platforms you paste the new version. Update the hours shown on your pages too.

Can Citanto write about allergens?

For restaurants and bakeries, drafts are written with the instruction never to make allergen-safety claims and to send allergen questions to your staff.

Do I need a website, or is my Google profile enough?

Citanto works on your website. AI assistants also read other sources, but your own site is the one place where you control every fact.
